1. Business- The Happy Pear. Café, shop, bakery owned by twin brothers Dave & Steve.



 They use many types of digital media within their business. They use Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, TikTok & LinkedIn social media platforms. They also have a fantastic website-www.thehappypear.ie, amazing podcasts with very well known people, that are valued healthy lifestyle specialists from chefs, dieticians, doctors to workout people like Joe Wicks , newsletters and even an app to access their online courses.

 

2. The twin brothers Dave & Steve, best-selling international authors & plant based chefs. They use their social media to engage with their audience, they inspire and encourage to live healthier and happier lives by simply eating more vegetables. They are posting healthy vegan recipes which also has an educational function.

 

Brothers showcase their beautiful produce, to provide information about courses, cookbooks and brighten their followers days with photos of Greystones where they are located. Their social media platforms are also entertaining, as they post some funny pictures of themselves.


 

 The pair have brought their community by inviting for a swim in the sunrise. This social campaign they called #swimrise. I personally find their social media very engaging and motivational. Their social media platforms serve a advertising function too, as they promote there their café, shops, online courses, cookbooks etc. They also have been building their brand "The Happy Pear" and growing supporting community. As the business has grown they needed to hire people to work with them, for this hiring function they used their website and LinkedIn, as this is where they advertise available positions at their comapny.

3. Dave & Steve started with a small vegetable shop, then they opened a café in 2006.


 In year 2008, they started their courses, in 2009 they established a sprout farm. In 2010 they started supplying food service outlets. In 2013 they started distributing to the leading supermarket chain Supervalu. As to my investigation they actively started creating accounts on Social Media platforms in 2008, this is when they opened account on YouTube channel. By the way, their brand The Happy Pear got incredible popularity when they collaborated with Jamie Oliver(worldwide know chef) at his FoodTube channel on Youtube. Then came Facebook, where they set up an online shop where they sell books and courses. Then all the others followed, Twitter-2009, Instagram 2014, LinkedIn 2017 and lastly the newbie in the Social Media platforms TikTok in year 2020.
