Day 20

 The last class

Today is our last day of our course ๐Ÿ˜Œ, but teacher Brian has packed it with loads of advices for us. So let's see what he has for us today.

Here is the first lot:

1. Walk your own path (in simple words just be yourself)

2. Don't hesitate when you should act (๐Ÿ’กwhen you have an idea, your inside voice will try to act against it, that it isn't that good, don't make it stop you. Count 5..4..3..2..1..get up and do it inspite of your negative self. By not doing it, you learn nothing.)

3.Experience what you have learned.

4.Good things don't come easy (you have to work hard to succeed).

5.Never fail to try more (always try to do more and see if it helps to get better).

6.Take care of your health early (regulate your screen time)

7.Make every moment count (make a graphic and put it out on many platforms, places etc.).

8.Live and let live (have a strategy to ignore trolls/haters/negative comments)

9.Be flexible with your goals (set your goals in the first place, but be prepared to pivot. While doing something you might learn new thing, listen to the reasons and change direction when needed.

10. For every action, there is an equal opposite reaction. (play the game)

Then our teacher added more advices from his personal perspective:

Words of wisdom

1. Listen to more podcasts๐ŸŽง

2.Read less social mediaread more books ๐Ÿ•ฎ

3.Practise what you learn → sell early and often (for example become social media PR for football club) do lean marketing-get the product out when not finished and listen to the feedback.

4. Learn what you love ๐Ÿ’— → question everything like a child because it will stand out to you (this is way we learn, ask questions!) → navigate to what you love.

5.Copy good things (Ctrl+U= this is how to see page source)-look behind the curtain. Use Vector Stock→ these are high quality pictures & copy.

6.Create prejudices to technology and use it wisely

7.Use automation where possible [chamber #s] chamber.dublin13.com→is your friend. Brian created 1800 pins, he used Stackoverflow.com. Random.org/strings- to create strings(numbers and letters)

8.Use keep.google.com  note keeping service, it is as secure as your email. If there's something important, keep a note of it, as it might help you in future.

9.Learn to code-Javascript, Python, PHP, HTML. Go to codeacademy.com Coding is the give, language that holds internet together.

10.If you are not paying for the product-you are the product. Choose wisely what you pay for.

11.Be ready for the -AI(Bard, ChatGTP, inside Microsoft Bing), AGI(Artificial General Inteligence), Algorithms(picks what you will watch after video watched)  Learn about these, but keep in mind that these won't be as creative as a real person. Singularity-is a hypothetical future point in time at which technological growth becomes uncontrollable and irreversible, resulting in unforeseeable changes to human civilization. As an example in 1970. was the start of computing →they build 1971.computers. Everything is getting faster, and faster, and faster. Some conclusion to it-it will make a lot of people feel more stupid.

Few things to watch:

Angela Lee Duckworth: Grit: the power of perseverance:

Aninda Kundyu: The boost students need to overcome obstacles

Social Campaign Plan

Then we continued to plan our social campaign and discuss the basics of doing it.

*Set the goal of campaign
*Decide how to promote on each platform
*Create content calendar
*Create visual content(posts, videos)
*Schedule posts
*Monitor & respond to queries, comments etc.
*Follow up after the event or promotion (photos and updates)

Some of the questions we asked about Brian's social campaign were:(remember the golden questions journalists use in interviews: What?Why?Where?Who?When?How?(5W,1H)
*What are you promoting?
*Why?
*What is the main reason?
*Who is it for?
*Where event takes place?
*What age group is it orientated to?
*How many people are attending?(max people to attend)
*What is the budget for it?
*Is it a fundraiser event?
*What kind of audience? Where could we meet them?

On Mixcloud.com→you can upload the event and stream it legally.
And another good software for video recording and live streaming is OBS Studio.

That's it, the Social Media for Business course is over! A little sad, I already miss this course, my classmates and the teacher. It was a great journey, well done to our teacher Brian, he's an absolutely fantastic teacher and very inspiring person who's very knowledgeable about social media and radio, I can definitely recommend this course to everyone!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜‰
