Day 8
TallaghtSocial Twitter shadowban update
Today we looked into our mysterious ban on our Twitter account @TallaghtSocial as it is still unknown what we did wrong that our account is still shadowbanned. As a part of investigation, teacher Brian opened up a new account @247meeja, he posted few tweets, followed few people and did a check whether it is shadowbanned and guess what!? It is! 😩 Conclusion to this, that if you open a new account on Twitter it might get shadowbanned, so that your post won't be visible to others. There is an advice Brian is giving us. Find an old account that is not in use anymore and by contacting the owner of it, ask them for permission to use it, rename it afterwards. Think about businesses that are gone out of business or see the accounts that are not active anymore. In this way you might get an account that is not shadowbanned. There is a lovely post from our Twitter account:

Image copyright
Then we talked about copyright, image licensing, use of pictures you find online. If you are using a photo for posting on social media, in general, if it is a private account then you won't be chased for that, but if it is a business/commercial account, then it is a different story, where you can get in trouble over using someone's photo image, then you might be asked to pay load of money. So it is a golden rule when you use pictures from internet for your posts, websites etc. you need to check the source, where this image comes from and if it is free to use. If you are business then source your images in a legitimate way. One simple way to check if the image is free to use:
Go to www.google.com→click on search by image button on the search bar→click on the tools→then usage rights→then Creative Commons license. See the little screenshot where I tried to show the process:
When you have found where the image comes from, then you can ask the owner for permission to use is, it's best to get permission in writing, like letter or email would do too.

Creative Commons (CC)
Then we looked at the website www.creativecommons.org .
Creative Commons licenses give everyone from individual creators to large institutions a standardized way to grant the public permission to use their creative work under copyright work. There are different types of licenses, see the image below.
No Repo-means no reproduction fee.
