Another website suggestion to create a beautiful website is https://wordpress.org/  .Here you can grow your business with a help of Wordpress.

These days you have to be very careful around your private data, like passwords, card details etc., another suggestion from teacher Brian is to get a 2 way authentication on Gmail, it really needs security on it, as it would help you to retrieve lost accounts.

We also looked on our website- www.TallaghtSocial.com that Brian created. He suggested that any of us could contribute to the website by posting something, anything we want.

Success, failure and the drive to keep creating

We also watched a video of Elizabeth Gilbert-Success, failure and the drive to keep creating.

Main idea is to never give up! Fight your way back.

Lenehans vs Woodies social media 

Today we had a look at website and social media accounts of  2 hardware stores, Lenahans and Woodies and our task was to give comments on both, pluses and minuses of both of them. The one that everyone liked more was a Woodies account, as it was easy to look at, there was no hard ads.(not a lot of product push) yet it was creating some videos that were relevant to many people and interesting to watch. Where Lenehans account was overloaded with menus, product pictures that was more off-putting. Also their Social media account were not very active. Advice from teacher:

Don't keep a social media account if you are not active on it. 

Brian is telling us that it's good to sell emotion. 😊😥😍Your audience wants to have a relationship with you. Hard sell is very uneducated way to sell. Making a lifestyle videos are a success.

Embedding a Tweet

Then we looked at Kate Garner's music video on Twitter, and learned how to embed a tweet- 

In the tweet's right top corner click on the more (3 dots button), then pick embed tweet in the dropdown menu and then click the blue box copy code, then paste it on your blog in the html view. Just like that:

Blogging with emotion

Then we talked about what can we do to make our blogs with emotion? Make content more relatable with what's going on in the world now. For example, it's a year of Rabbit this year, so make a post related to this fact.

A homework for today is to start posting on social media 2-3 times a day. We need to get out there and practice, only with practice we can get better.

I checked it out and it's brilliant at communicating on their Social Media, very active and with very good sense of humour.
