Day 17

Group video

Today we looked at our group video. It looks good, one of the classmates who wasn't with us at the shooting day, wanted to be added. Brian gave opportunity to add his part to the video. Looking forward seeing it. I'm sure it will look great.

The great social media debate

Today our class was divided in 2 groups and we were having a real debate. One of the team was social media's evil side, and the other one was good side. We picked speakers for our group, and then discussed these 2 sides.

Evil side 👿:

*Gossips *conspiracy theories *mental health(from negative comments) *black mailer *addiction *reputation easily damaged *wasting time and energy *scarifying family time *less of real social interaction *hard to unwind from social media, leads to sleep problems *expensive(trying to sell to you all the time) *you're the product(ads being shown to you) *your images, content can be copied, stolen *bad influence for children *scams *brainwashing *fake news/propaganda *illegal things sold(black market) *consumes all your free time *people exploitation

Good side 😇:

*confidence to go in front of camera *be connected with people *Instagram shows how to do many things *educational(online courses) *build relationships around the world *loads of support *cheers you up *free to use *spreading art and brand awareness *voice for voice *help collecting money, donations *entertainment *

So as you see there are so many pros and cons to using Social Media. There isn't right or wrong, you have to be on top of the fence and got to see both sides.

Big Magic

Brian suggested to listen an audiobook by Elizabeth Gilbert called "Big Magic"

This is a book, but Elizabeth Gilbert also did a podcast. It's a great way to support your book. You don't need TV ads, you need your super fans (the people that are really interested in your content), because the "word of mouth" is huge in spreading the information about your content.

Few points our teacher suggested to us: if you feel that you want to start your business, but don't have enough time, or not confident whether it is going to succeed- have an affair with your creativity/passion, and develop it! I think it's a great suggestion, because most of us are exactly feeling this way, but if you don't try and do it, then you never going to succeed and later might just regret and wonder- what if.. In my opinion-let's do it, and try, don't be afraid to experiment and make mistakes. What doesn't kill, only makes you stronger 💪
